If there is ONE Golden Retriever, how can there be numerous Breed Standards for the same dog? We live in a global society. Modern transport allows us to reach every corner of the planet (admittedly hard to do since the earth is round) Frozen sperm can be sent anywhere. Dogs and pups can be shipped anywhere. Though I must say, if we were to consider this trade in a global economy, the United States would be deep in doggy do. We import Golden Retrievers from around the world; we export American Goldens to virtually nowhere on the planet.
